Brockwell Park Restoration
Wednesday 22 February 2012
Since 2005 we have been working together with Lambeth Council, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Brockwell Park MAC to restore Brockwell Park to its former glory.
Now nearly £5million is being spent over the period July 2011 to September 2012 - £3.5m is committed from the HLF and £1.5m from Lambeth.
Key improvements include:
  • New wet play area
  • New railings along Dulwich Road
  • Replacement land drains
  • New park gates for Brixton Water Lane
  • Restoration of the Arlingford Road gates
  • Improvement to paths
  • Improvements to the ponds
  • Works in the walled garden
  • Significant tree planting
  • Completely new playground on the existing site
  • Refurbishment of 'The Temple'
  • Significant improvements to the Community Greenhouses
We are working towards a later, Phase II bid, for improvements to Brockwell Hall and its surrounding area.
